How This Fashion Editor Revamped a Summer Dress for Cold Weather
Photo via: @kristenmarienichols
Fashion editors always give us outfit inspiration, especially as they experiment with trends on social media. Kristen Marie Nichols of Who What Wear gave a nod to the ever-so-popular nap dress trend with her latest boot story. Don't want to give up your favorite summer dress just yet? Never fear! It can still be paired with leather knee-high boots for the colder months. Shop our favorite tall boots below.

Update Your Basic Puffer With This Styling Trick
Photo via: @modehunter
We’re getting a little sick of our daily puffer coat and boots, but we’re loving the fresh way Sarah Harris made her outfit look. Her chain-detail jacket is a great take on a basic piece, and we’re recreating the look by adding a chain belt to our favorite coat. A pair of white loafers is another unexpected twist gives an everyday fall/winter outfit a fresh look.

Now That I'm 30, I Wear These Affordable Pieces On Repeat
Photo via: @adenorah
If there's one thing that's changed from my 20s to my 30s (aside from my skincare routine) it would have to be purchasing pieces with comfort and practicality in mind. Rather than jumping on board a specific trend for trends sake, I'll wait for the perfect piece. One that serves a dual purpose, so I can get the cost per wear down. For example, instead of the sky high 90s-style strappy sandals, I opted to wait for a low heel variation that I could wear out on the weekend and were still work-appropriate. Shop my current favorite, below.

Photo via: Style Du Monde
For those of us who work in a corporate or slightly conservative work place the idea of wearing full-on leopard, cheetah, or tiger stripe to the office may seem like a stretch. But, we're here to show you how achievable it can be. Take this look for example––the classic trench coat and practical brown suede bag help to ground the animal print blouse and boots, making the trends accessible for nearly any work place.

The Only Plaid Outwear Worth Buying Right Now
Photo via: Sandra Semburg
Plaid is one of the few prints that we just can't get enough of. Despite it's steady rise in popularity the past few years, most variations of the pattern are considered classic. Lending a bit of sophistication to almost every item, we particularly love it when it's featured as outerwear. Throw a plaid coat over your basic turtleneck, jeans, and boots for an elevated day-time look.

The Classic Pairings We'll Never Get Tired Of
Photo via: @anna__laplaca
Although we look forward to seasonal trends, and mixing in runway inspiration, there's nothing quite like a classic combination to get you through the cold. Who What Wear Assistant Editor Anna knows exactly what we're talking about. On Instagram, she posted a photo in a go-to look we can all appreciate. Black oversized sunglasses, a soft live-in t-shirt, an all-encompassing black blazer, and vintage jeans is all it will take, and you probably already own each piece.

We're Finding Serious Inspiration In This Editor's Minimalistic Look
Photo via: @laurencaruso
Minimalism doesn't have to be boring, even in the day and age of oversized prints and larger than life volumes. For Lauren Caruso, super editor and basically, a style icon, minimalism is part of her everyday wardrobe. But, it has a twist. All of her outfits include a standout piece, which makes the monochromatic and staple color tones ten times more lively, and ten times chicer. On Instagram, she posted a shot of her in a simple t-shirt, the plastic bamboo-handled bag of now, a side-split denim skirt and slides. See? Not boring at all.

Do Denim-On-Denim Like a Fashion Editor
Photo via: Stylecaster
The Canadian tuxedo has been updated, revisited and reloved all over again. Play with different hues on top and bottom or be bold and match washes. The look can easily be dressed up with lipstick, earrings, a blouse poking out from underneath the top or a pair of heels. Do it like fashion editor Christine Centenera by picking an oversized denim shirt, straight-leg jeans and a suede pair of heels.

How To Effortlessly Mix Patterns Like a Fashion Editor
Photo via: Style Du Monde
You don't have to have an editor's eye in order to pull off this seemingly difficult look. The trick? Stick to only two patterns and stay in the same color family as well as the same aesthetic. Super editor Julia Sarr-Jamois mixed the top patterns of the moment: checked plaids and tartans. She opted for a pink button-down shirt underneath and stuck to cohesive black accessories. See? That wasn't so hard.
